Dinner guests are on their way — and you haven't started shopping yet.

Grocery Dash is a top-down grocery store game where the real challenge isn't finding the food — it's doing the math to buy the right amount of it. Each level gives you a recipe that serves a fixed number of people, but your guest count is different. You'll need to scale every ingredient up, figure out how many packs to grab, and make it to checkout before time runs out.

How to play Navigate the aisles with arrow keys or WASD. Press SPACE to grab a pack from a shelf, BACKSPACE to put one back. When you think you've got everything, head to the green CHECKOUT zone — your recipe card will tell you whether each item is right, short, or over.

12 levels of escalating chaos Start simple — the recipe already serves the right number of guests, just figure out the packs. Then guests multiply. Then the math gets messier. Then the shoppers show up.

• Run into someone you know? You're stuck making small talk for 5 seconds while the clock ticks
• The store manager is suspicious of anyone rushing — get caught and something falls out of your cart
• Watch out for distractor items on the shelves that aren't on the recipe
• Later levels throw random guest counts at you — the multiplier changes every time you play

What's the math? If the recipe serves 2 and you're feeding 10, you need to multiply everything by 5. One ingredient needs 4 oz per serving — you need 20 oz total. Each pack is 8 oz — so you need 3 packs. Now do that for 7 ingredients while someone's blocking the pasta aisle.
